Yes, you read that right
Thanks to Rip It Up we are now aware of what is perhaps the strangest concept for a band we’ve heard of since Harry and The Potters. Okilly Dokilly are a Ned Flanders themed metal band.
The Phoenix, Arizona band describe themselves as “the world’s first Nedal band,” and we have absolutely no problem believing that. Leader Head Ned told Rip It Up “Myself and our drummer [Bled Ned] were in line at a grocery store, entertaining ourselves by coming up with really cutesy names for really hardcore, brutal bands,” He went on to explain the bands moniker, “The name Okilly Dokilly came up and was very funny to us. We ran with it. I contacted a few friends [Red Ned, Thread Ned and Stead Ned] and here we are.”
