Hear Young Thug’s Slime Season mixtape

After a two month delay, the highly-anticipated tape is here

Last night, Young Thug released the 18 track mixtape Slime Season. The release includes beats from Rich Gang producer London on Da Track, Wonda Gurl, Metro Boomin and South Side, and there are guest verses from Migos members Quavo and Offset, regular collaborator Pee Wee Longway, Young Ralph and – controversially – Lil Wayne. You can download it here or stream it below.

Thug initially intended for Slime Season to be released on 4 July – the same day as Lil Wayne’s Free Weezy Mixtape. This wasn’t the first time Thug attempted to troll Wayne with his releases – his Barter 6 LP was named in reference to Wayne’s Tha Carter V album, which has been withheld by Birdmans’ Cash Money records. In July, an indictment surfaced which suspected Birdman and Young Thug of being involved with the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus. The track Take Kare originally surfaced online last year.

The release date of Young Thug’s album Hy!£UN35, which was originally due in August, has not been released.
