Slaves are not playing Dismaland

Kent duo Slaves got tricked by a “Silly sausage”

If you follow Slaves on Facebook at all you’ll know that last week they announced they would be playing Dismaland alongside Massive Attack. The general reaction was one of joy from fans, a bemused confusion from the small pocket of followers who realised quickly that Slaves appeared to be playing in the slot were Pussy Riot were meant to be and a shruggy yawn from almost anyone else who saw the post.

In a strange twist of fate for the band it appears they’ve been trolled.

The pair posted the following on their Facebook page today: “We will not be playing at Dismaland on the 25th September. Some silly sausage pretending to be the organiser invited us to play a gig there and we naturally obliged. Turns out it wasn’t genuine. Got done, good and proper.”

Slaves have not made it clear who may have perpetuated the myth to begin with but you can expect us to post more as and when details become available.

Check out the post from the band’s Facebook below.
