Yahoo cancel the live DJing show before its 2016 premiere
If you’re an up-and-coming EDM DJ who was hoping to prove themselves on Simon Cowell’s forthcoming DJ talent show, Ultimate DJ, then it’s bad news we’re afraid – it’s been axed months before its planned premiere.
As Variety report, the series was set to go ahead even earlier this week, but has since been pulled. It is thought the show has been given its marching orders thanks to Yahoo tightening its budget for large-scale TV series.
Still, the show still could be saved if another backer steps in. It seems to make good financial sense when Cowell’s other series, Britain’s Got Talent, tends to spit out the sort of DJ talent seen below. Four yeses? Classic.
