The crew behind Amsterdam’s Dekmantel have revealed details of a new intimate festival
From 1 – 5 September 2016 Croatia’s Garden Resort will play host to Selectors – a brand new festival from the people behind Dekmantel. The festival takes its cues from their hugely popular Selectors stage and will have a very intimate feel according to Dekmantel founder Thomas Martojo: “We immediately fell in love with the intimate, beautiful site and think it’s the perfect place to translate our favourite stage from Dekmantel Festival and really take the time to deepen the idea behind it,”. He said in a statement to the press, “You can expect long sets from some of our favorite DJ’s combined with the usual Dekmantel touch on sound, production and atmosphere.”
During the day the festival will take place on the stunning beaches of Tisno and in the evening the party will move to legendary local club Barbarella’s. The line-up so far includes Andy Votel, Antal, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Baris K, Beppe Loda, Carlos Souffront, Christian S, Cinnaman, Daniele Baldelli, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Gilb’R, Helena Hauff, Hunee Intergalactic Gary, Interstellar Funk, Invisible City Sound System, I-F, Jon K, Joy Orbison, Lena Willikens, Loud-E, Mike Servito, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Orpheu The Wizard, Pender Street Steppers, Rahaan, Robert Bergman, San Proper, Sassy J, Solar, Tako, The Black Madonna, The Love Triangle, Tom Trago, Traxx and Young Marco.
Dekmantel have also announced that they will be releasing a compilation series to correspond with the festival which seeks to explore what makes a good selector. The first three instalments will come from Motor City Drum Ensemble, Young Marco, and Joy Orbison with MCDE’s instalment expected to drop in March on 2 x 12″ vinyl and digital formats.
