Comunitē Festival detail sustainability initiative, share free track

Tulum, Mexico’s Comunitē have also announced even more names for their first ever festival

Given that it takes place in the ultra beautiful surroundings of Tulum, Mexico Comunitē it’s no surprise that Comunitē is a festival that puts the environment first.

The festival’s organisers have announced today that they will only be serving food that has not been created from animal agriculture saying that “Each day, a person who eats a vegan diet saves 1,100 gallons of water, 45 pounds of grain, 30 sq ft of forested land, 20 lbs CO2 equivalent, and one animal’s life.”

The idea is that the festival’s low impact food policy will encourage more people to be conscious of their environment in the long run.

They have also announced that the already impressive line-up will be supplemented by Josep, Century (live), Reptare, El Búho (live), Pantasz (live), Damian Romero, Siete Catorce (live), Charlotte Thorstvedt, Sidartha Siliceo (live), Uchi (live), In Lak’Ech and Hala Ken Cremónia.

To celebrate these announcements the people behind Comunitē are giving away Nicholas Cruz’s remix of Acid Pauli & Joke’s Matanza which you can grab right here for free.

Comunitē takes place on 13 January in Tulum, Mexico. Find out more information at their website.
