Maya Jane Coles, Joris Voorn and Paul Woolford will also perform amongst a host of others
Kicking off on 15 March at Cosmic Ballroom in Newcastle with Maribou State and TommyD, the 8IN8 tour is set to bring the likes of DJ Harvey, Maya Jane Coles, Joris Voorn and Paul Woolford to eight cities across the UK: Cosmic Ballroom (Newcastle), Circus (Liverpool), Canal Mills (Leeds), Rainbow Venues (Birmingham), SubClub (Glasgow), Stealth (Nottingham), a free party in Bristol in a secret venue and a final date in London with special guests to be announced.
DJ and producer TommyD has called on his two passions, whisky and dance music, as inspiration for a new drink – 8O8, named after the famous Roland TR-808 Drum Machine.
“Whisky brings people together,” he says of the drink. “It’s a sociable drink that inspires conversation. Like the best dance music it has warmth, bottom end, and a definite KICK. 8O8 is whisky but not as you know it. It’s whisky remixed!”
