Veteran producer Mike Dred, aka Mike Cullen, has uploaded 28 ripped cassettes – recorded between 1988 and 1994 – to Google Drive
Mike Dred, one of the leading figures in the development of acid techno in the early 90s, has generously shared a crateful of early rave tapes with the internet.
After the batch’s initial download link on Dropbox went down, the techno producer – out of the goodness of his own heart – reuploaded the batch to his personal Google Drive account.
All but one of the mixes are without tracklists as Mike would rather not be “getting into all that detective work” – however, he is certain there are enough knowledgeable heads out there to get the IDing started. There’s certainly enough to be getting on with.
