A new website simulates getting in (or not getting in) to Berghain

A website emerged this weekend that simulates the experience of queueing and attempting to enter Berghain using facial recognition technology

If you have Google Chrome you can now visit what is probably the strangest website we’ve seen in a while: berghaintrainer.com.

The website uses facial recognition technology and voice control to assess whether or not you would be allowed to enter Berlin’s infamous club Berghain. The camera walks down the queue, you approach the bouncers and are asked three questions before they decide whether or not you can enter. Typical questions include “Have you been here before?”, “Are you drunk?” and “Do you know who’s spinning tonight?”

You are also assessed on four body language factors – anger, sadness, amazed and euphory. After four attempts we gave up trying to get in as we were turned away into the night repeatedly.

Here’s hoping we have better luck in real life. Find out how you’d fare over at berghaintrainer.com.
