The band are set to release their next album on 9 September
Although Nick Cave has been active with other projects since his exceptional 2013 album with the Bad Seeds, Push The Sky Away, we’ve been eagerly awaiting another full length for 3 years. Now it looks like our wishes may be granted as soon as September.
According to a listing on the website Laemmle Theatres the band will be releasing a film which shows them performing songs from the upcoming, as-yet-untiled album on 8 September. The album itself will be released the day after.
The blurb on the website reads, “The record has an intimacy and starkness that the film’s photographic style will reflect. It will be shot in black and white, color and 3-D. The idea is to create an experience that is immersive but also elegant, that feels both immediate and archival.”
Since Push The Sky Away Cave has contributed to several soundtracks alongside fellow Bad Seed Warren Ellis, written a book The Sick Bag Song and even appeared in the film 20,000 Days On Earth.
