Record shops received the sleek, 80s-inspired adverts in the post yesterday
Richard D. James fans, get excited – it seems a new Aphex Twin EP is imminent.
Records shops were treated to some interesting post yesterday as some information on the new release, disguised as “new product information”, hit their letterboxes.
The advertisement, as pointed out by a Twitter user, shares lot of similarities with the manual for the Cheetah MS-6, a synthesiser released in late eighties. It boasts of the EP’s “LED display” and “Stereo Output”, and promises “movement and depth rarely found on records today”.
