FKA twigs announces “abstract autobiographical” film

Soundtrack 7 is a 52-minute film based on choreography twigs originally performed at the Manchester International Festival

FKA twigs’ residency at Old Granada Studios for the Manchester International Festival saw the singer perform a series of dance routines across seven nights. Those performances, known as Soundtrack 7, are now being made into a feature film of the same name. The film features twigs dancing to songs including How’s That, Ultraviolet, and Good to Love in what she describes as an “abstract autobiographical piece.”

The film will premiere at Brooklyn Academy of Music on 3 August and will be preceeded by another short film, directed by twigs set to four songs from her M3LL155X EP.
