Rihanna cancels French concert out of respect for Nice victims

The singer was due to play in Nice tonight but has pulled out following the tragic deaths of 84 people in a suspected attack in the city

“Due to the tragic events in Nice, my concert scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at Allianz Stadium will not be going ahead as planned. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families,” Rihanna wrote on her Instagram earlier this morning.

The singer has pulled out of her upcoming show in Nice, France after a truck careered into a crowd killing 84 people and seriously injuring 18 others during bastille day celebrations in the city yesterday (14 July).

Rihanna was in Nice at the time of the suspected terrorist attack but representatives have confirmed to Billboard in the US that she is safe.
