IKEA invite Kanye West to design furniture

The Swedish company wrote on Facebook that they’d love to see Kanye’s designs in response to comments the rapper made on BBC Radio 1 last night

IKEA have responded to Kanye West‘s recent comments that he’d like to design furniture for the company with a Facebook post suggesting they’d love to see what the Wolves rapper would come up with were he given the opportunity to design for the Swedish brand. West first hinted that he’d like to work with IKEA back in March when he Tweeted about a visit to the company’s HQ and went on to talk at length about the company in an interview with Annie Mac on Radio 1 last night.

“I have to work with IKEA—make furniture for interior design, for architecture and I know that if I do a minimalist apartment inside of a college dorm where the TV goes on the side of the wall,” the rapper said. “Yo IKEA, allow Kanye to create, allow him to make this thing because you know what, I want a bed that he makes, I want a chair that he makes—I want more products from Ye.”

IKEA Australia responded this morning with a witty Facebook post that included a mocked up design for the Yeezy. A series of three interlocking beds that they say could make Kanye famous. Geddit?
