The live events will include collaborations between The Raincoats & Angel Olsen, Scritti Politti & Alexis Taylor and The Pop Group & Protomartyr
Rough Trade Records are turning 40 this year. The iconic London record store-turned-label, started by the equally iconic Geoff Travis, is celebrating in style with a series of unique live events.
The first event takes place on 22 October at The Barbican and consists of a variety of live collaborations from The Pop Group and Protomartyr, Scritti Politti and Alexis Taylor as well as John Grant and Wrangler ft. Stephen Mallinder of Cabaret Voltaire.
In addition to the Barbican event Rough Trade have also lined up a special one-off collaboration between legendary art punks The Raincoats and singer-songwriter Angel Olsen at Islington Assembly Hall.
Aside from these unique collaborations they have also announced a series of new bands showcases at various London venues including Rough Trade East, The Shacklewell Arms and Moth Club featuring the likes of Happy Meal LTD, Pill, Aldous RH and many many more.
Tickets for all the shows will be available from Friday 10 August via Dice.
