Geoff Barrow and his Ex Machina collaborator Ben Salisbury have also been hired to work on Alex Garland’s new sci-fi movie Annihilation
Last year Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury teamed up to create the haunting score to Alex Garland’s dystopian directorial debut Ex Machina and it appears the pair have been working on some other equally unsettling sci-fi projects as well.
According to Pitchfork the pair have already composed the score to the forthcoming third series of Charlie Brooker’s celebrated anitutopian TV series Black Mirror which is coming to Netflix this October.
The duo have also been put to task writing the soundtrack for the upcoming Alex Garland-directed, Natalie Portman-starring movie Annihilation. The film follows the story of a biologist thrown into turmoil when she discovers that an environmental disaster is not quite what it seems. Suitably eerie fare that will surely see Barrow and Salisbury at their disturbing best.
