fabric could reopen without court appeal

According to The Islington Tribune fabric may have been in secret talks with police and local authorities to reopen the club

An article posted today by the Islington Tribune suggests that fabric may have been in talks with local authorities, including Islington Council and the Metropolitan police, in a bid to reopen the club under new licensing conditions.

fabric initially closed its doors earlier this year following the deaths of 18-year-olds Ryan Browne and Jack Crossley outside of the club. The club’s owners have since been raising money to pay for court proceedings to appeal the closure.

The Tribune , however, say that the club’s upcoming court appeal may not even go ahead if the club can get a high court judge on to “rubber stamp” a new agreement before the scheduled court date of 28 November.

At present neither the club nor the court have denied the theory that talks have already taken place.
