BBC air date for new Bowie documentary revealed

The British air-date for David Bowie: The Last Five Years has been revealed.

The new documentary, produced and directed by Francis Whately, works as a follow-up of sorts to Whately’s 2013 film David Bowie: Five Years. The new film features until now unheard interview clips and  unused vocal takes including an acapella take of Lazarus from 2016’s Blackstar.

Fan-site David Bowie News reported the news that the film will be shown on BBC Two on 7 January at 9PM. The BBC set to confirm the air date in the coming weeks.

An hour-long show of Bowie’s performances at the BBC and interviews there will also air at the start of next year. Bowie At The BBC will be broadcast 13 January at 10PM on BBC Four.
