Craig Richards’ new festival Houghton will also feature Nicolas Jaar, Ben UFO, Andrew Weatherall and more in its first edition
fabric resident and renowned DJ Craig Richards has announced a brand new festival in partnership with Gotwood. Houghton’s inaugural edition will take place in Norfolk next August and already features a killer lineup featuring extended sets from all DJs.
So far Ricardo Villalobos has been tapped to play twice, once on his own and once alongside Max Loderbauer as VILOD in what will be Villalobos’ UK live debut. Richards has also invited Nicolas Jaar, Floating Points, Seth Troxler, Andrew Weatherall, Ben UFO, Midland, Sonja Moonear, Roman Flügel, Nicolas Lutz, Ivan Smagghe, Felix Dickinson, Adrian Sherwood, Binh, Nightmares On Wax, The Orb’s Dr Alex Paterson, Trojan Soundsystem, Mr Scruff, Vladimir Ivkovic and SAOIRSE to DJ with Howie B & Borgar Magnason and Convextion set to play live.
The festival takes place at Houghton Hall, Norfolk. The country park boasts a lake, woodland, an abandoned warehouse, a subterranean bowl and a sculpture park so it should make for a varied and picturesque location.
