Parklife 2017 lineup announced

Following some speculation, Parklife Festival have announced Frank Ocean as their first headliner for 2017.

It’s Ocean’s first ever Manchester show and the second UK date he’s announced for this summer following Lovebox.

Manchester Evening News confirmed the performance after Parklife organisers shared the news on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 breakfast show this morning.

According to their Facebook page, the rest of the lineup is coming at 6PM today (31 January).

We will keep an eye on their page and update this story as more announcements come in.

Update: The 1975, Frank Ocean, A Tribe Called Quest and Boy Better Know are booked to headline. It’s the first UK show for A Tribe Called Quest announced since their sixth studio album We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service came out in November of last year.

Elsewhere in the lineup, Flying Lotus, DJ EZ, Chaka Khan, Anderson .Paak, Little Dragon, Wiley, Giggs, Sampha and Danny Brown are all set to play at the festival which is held on Manchester’s Heaton Park.

There’s also sets from AJ Tracey, J Hus, Hunee, NAO, Nadia Rose, Stefflon Don and The Black Madonna.
