“Come to Glastonbury festival I need to show you something.”
A series of tweets published by the Wiley over the weekend (29 January) strongly hint that he will be performing at Worthy Farm this June. The announcement comes nearly four years after the grime star memorably berated the festival on twitter after he refused to play because of poor weather.
“Rain or shine this year at Glastonbury is gonna be amazing because now I understand the real meaning of a festival,” he wrote, taking a new tack: “Come to Glastonbury festival I need to show you something.”
Going even further, Wiley said: “@GlastoFest is the champion of all festivals and it took me 37 years to realise. I wish I was at the early ones TBH would of been sick.”
While Wiley has not confirmed that he will be playing the festival, the timing makes sense – this month Wiley released his latest album Godfather. You can check our review of the LP here.
