Kanye West shares The-Dream remix which soundtracked Yeezy Season 5

Yeezus dropped the epic track he used for his NYFW show today on Soundcloud

This morning (28 February), West dropped Bed Yeezy Season 5 on his Soundcloud. The 17-minute beat-less version features The-Dream, who co-wrote the track for J. Holiday over ten years ago. This new version that first appeared as the soundtrack to his Yeezy Season 5 show at NYFW is relatively stripped down compared to the original, and was played on repeat.

West and Dream have collaborated on several tracks before, including All Of The lights, No Church In The Wild and on Ultralight Beam – from West’s 2016 album The Life Of Pablo.

Yeezy Season 5 resulted in relatively positive reviews from critics. WWD noted, “West checked all the professional boxes this time, without abandoning that Yeezy swagger”. Opting out of a collaboration with Vanessa Beecroft – with whom West had worked with for past seasons – the show was more toned down in comparison to its predecessors. Taking place at Pier 59 Studios, the new collection was displayed on large floor-to-ceiling screens with Luka Sabbat, Amina Blue and IMG’s first hijab model Halim Aden walking the finale.

In other news, West will be launching a makeup brand named after his mother.

The Life of Pablo listed at number three was on Crack’s list of 2016’s best albums.
