The first wave of names has landed for Applesap Festival in Amsterdam.
The hip-hop focused event has grown from free parties in the early 2000s to one of the biggest events in the Dutch calendar, bringing together local talents and international heavyweights.
This year, they’ve secured a headline set from Lil Wayne, which is a pretty massive deal. Wayne hasn’t played Europe very much at all over the last 10 years. This announcement gives some weight to the speculation that Drake may be hosting some kind of Young Money reunion in the UK this summer.
Below Wayne, prodigious London rapper Dave and Brixton rap collective 67 will both perform as well as popular DJ and entrepreneur Siobhan Bell.
They are joined by a selection of talents from the Dutch scene like Kempi and Yung Nnelg.
Applesap Fresh Music Festival takes place on 12 August 2017 at Flevopark, Amsterdam. Find more information and ticket options here.
