New wave of names announced for Houghton Festival

Following up on a first announcement last year, a new wave of names have been announced for Craig Richards’ Houghton Festival.

Hercules & Love Affair head up the announcement alongside Tony Allen who will perform a special tribute set to iconic jazz drummer Art Blakey.

Elsewhere in the announcement, Gerd Janson, Cassy, Optimo, Yussef Kamaal and Joy Orbison have all joined the lineup. Orbison recently announced two solo EPs, his first since 2012.

They join Ricardo Villalobos, Nicolas Jaar, Ben UFO, Andrew Weatherall and for the inaugural edition of the event which takes place at Houghton Hall, Norfolk.

To produce the event, Richards has teamed up with the organisers of Gottwood Festival.
