Watch Judy Collins perform Suzanne in tribute to Leonard Cohen

Tonight at The Grammys pre-show performances, folk singer Judy Collins performed a cover of Leonard Cohen’s Suzanne.

Suzanne was first published as a poem in 1966. Later that year, Collins recorded it as a song. The following year, Cohen recorded it and used it as the lead sing for 1967’s ‘Songs of Leonard Cohen’.

Collins was nominated for Best Folk Album, her first Grammy nomination for 40 years. Before performing at the event, she recounted the story of how she first met Cohen and told the audience about the background of the song.
