Berlin Community Radio launch open call for marginalised voices

The BCR Incubator programme returns this year to offer six electronic artists a residency, industry mentoring and more

Berlin Community Radio first launched their BCR Incubator programme with the aim to diversify the electronic scene by providing emerging talent from marginalised communities with a platform – without tokenising them. Artists with disabilities, women of colour, QTPOC, female-identifying individuals and immigrants have been encouraged to apply.

Last year, they offered resources to four artists. This year, they’ll be offering even more. The plan is to help six emerging artists with a month-long live residency, training from industry figures and organisations – such as Ableton – and an international press campaign.

One applicant will also be given the opportunity to embark on a residency programme in Sapporo, Japan.

Artists have until 22 May to apply. You can find more info here.
