The ‘international cult leader’ is set to embark on a tour to his favourite clubs around the world
Although DJ Harvey will be appearing at a string of international festivals this summer, the iconic selector has announced today (6 April) that he’ll be taking up residencies at more contained spaces.
His nightclub tour will begin at his former home, London’s Ministry of Sound, before hitting up Berghain, Paris’ Concrete and Amsterdam’s De Marktkantine then ending at New York’s Output.
The DJ said to Resident Advisor, “I honed my trade in nightclubs and warehouses and in many respects, it’s where my heart lies and where I feel like I function best.”
On the club tour, Harvey said, “All these places have good soundsystems and they’ll allow me to express myself in the right way. I basically said to myself, if it doesn’t have a DJ booth, I’m not going to play there this year.”
