Starring Brad Pitt as a general, the David Michod-directed film will feature bandmates Cave and Ellis on the soundtrack
Nick Cave and Bad Seeds/Grinderman bandmate Warren Ellis have a history of composing soundtracks together for film. Their latest project is Netflix’s War Machine – starring Brad Pitt, Topher Grace and Tilda Swinton.
Directed by David Michod, War Machine tells the tale of general Glenn McMahon (played by Brad Pitt) commanding NATO forces in Afghanistan. The film is based on Michael Hastings 2012 book The Operators.
In January, it was revealed that the pair are set to score Taylor Sheridan’s directorial debut Wind River. Cave and Ellis have previously scored the film Hell or High Water (2016), Far From Men (2015) and 2009’s The Road.
