Pusha T shares details of new album on Pharrell’s Beats 1 radio show

Pusha T

“Something gargoyle-ish”

Yesterday (2 April), on the latest OTHERtone episode of Beats 1 Radio, the former Crack cover star revealed the details of his forthcoming album, King Push. The session was hosted by Pharrell and Scott Vener, with Fam-Lay and D.R.A.M. also making an appearance on the episode.

On the album, the Virginia rapper said, “It’s entitled King Push… I just left Pharrell yesterday, so I’m just waiting on him to give me these last couple heat rocks.”

Pusha T also spoke of his work for Hillary Clinton’s campaign trail. “I spent all of 2016 trying to free my people, and we took the L on that with the Hillary campaign, it’s cool,” he said. “But it’s rap time, and that’s what it is. No haircut. No face cut. No nothing. It’s just what we’re doing.”

Pharrell described the album as “something gargoyle-ish” and “definitely crazy” on the show.

The project will be the follow-up to 2015’s King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude.

No release date has been announced for the album yet.
