The group performed the song in the Twin Peaks bar, The Roadhouse, during the highly-anticipated premiere
The long-awaited return of Twin Peaks’ third season arrived last night on US station Showtime, and it ended with a performance from the Chromatics. The track, Shadow, was originally released in 2015 and after the episode, the band dropped the video online.
Filmed in Los Angeles on 14 February 2016, the Rene & Radka-directed visual shows the band performing in The Black Lodge. The clip focuses mainly on close-ups of vocalist Ruth Radelet singing under purple and fuschia-toned lights. In the YouTube caption, the band explain that the video pays tribute to David Lynch’s 1986 neo-noir mystery film Blue Velvet and Julee Cruise.
