FASMA Festival cut short after attendee dies

The final night of the Athens festival was cancelled “out of respect towards the life lost and as a small gesture of support towards his family”

Sadly, according to a Facebook statement posted last week (7 May), a man has died during FASMA Festival’s celebrations.

A FASMA spokesperson told Resident Advisor“First aid help from the doctor was given and he was transferred to the hospital by ambulance where he passed on Sunday noon.” The cause of death is currently unknown.

In response to the death, the Greek festival – which was set to run from 4 to 7 May – subsequently cancelled its events on the last night out of respect for the man and his family. The festival’s line-up included DJ Stingray, Zebra Katz, Toulouse Low Trax, Randomer and Toxe.
