CRUMB 2.0 is the latest instalment of Stuart Acker Holt’s CRUMB series, which explores the link between a host of innovative artists
Filmed exclusively at Ableton Loop’s 2016 edition at Funkhaus Berlin, CRUMB 2.0 explores a chain of ideas and the “hidden connection between innovative artists”. The artists chosen for Holt’s brand new visual instalment are Jamaican legend Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, interdisciplinary artist Sougwen Chung, LA-based producer Daedelus, New York-based creative polymath Jace Clayton and auteur slash experimental drummer Deantoni Parks.
Watch the artists discuss their works, what binds them together and the nature of music in the video above.
Ableton Loop’s aim is to bring together a community of artists and thinkers – through performances, talks, installations and workshops – to discuss the role of music and what it can be. They’ve recently announced the return of their three-day summit this year, which will take place on 10-12 November.
