The Dutch festival has made its first big reveal today, unveiling 67 artists and curators for the programme
Le Guess Who? have announced the first wave of acts and curators today (30 May) for its 11th edition. Set to take place on 9-12 November in Utrecht this year, over 150 artists will be welcomed to the city’s churches, galleries, warehouses and theatres.
Mike Hadreas – aka Perfume Genius – ambient artist Grouper, Shabazz Palaces and Han Bennink amongst others have curated their own line-ups for the festival. It’s been revealed that Hadreas has booked Aldous Harding, Mount Eerie, Bulgarian women’s choir Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, Weyes Blood and Pharmakon. Grouper has lined up William Basinski, GAS and more for the festival and she’ll be performing with Paul Clipson. Jerusalem In My Heart have also curated a line-up, featuring the indefinable Klein and activist slash poet Moor Mother. Furthermore, Basilica Soundscape have confirmed fast-rising Norwegian talent Jenny Hval for the bill.
The general festival programme boasts a wealth of impressive acts also, with the likes of Yves Tumor, Kelly Lee Owens, The Bug vs Dyland Carlson of Earth, Liars, Oumou Sangaré, Jane Weaver and more confirmed for the event.
