Annie Lennox shares letter from a radio station mistaking her for a new act

The former member of Eurythmics and global star who has sold over 80 million records was ‘scouted’ by a Los Angeles radio station

Annie Lennox has shared a letter from a radio station employee in which they invite the award-winning artist to submit her music for consideration.

The letter begins by stating that the correspondent – who introduces herself as a new music coordinator – “came across your music online,” and “liked what I heard”.

“I find artists who I think have potential,” continues the letter. “If you’d like, please send over the MP3 of your latest single. I’ll forward it to Glenn our program director.”

The name of the radio station has been blocked out but the letter is signed ‘Kylie’.

Lennox, who has eight Brit Awards, four Grammys an Oscar and an OBE, posted the letter to Facebook with the comment: “I think I’m in with a chance ??!!!” The Facebook post has since been deleted but you can see a screen capture below.
