Reddit users are posting IRL photos resembling Wes Anderson sets

The subreddit group Accidental Wes Anderson features dreamy images of locations that look remarkably like they could belong in Anderson’s films

For Wes Anderson fans who’ve been waiting for a new film since 2014’s The Grand Budapest Hotela subreddit group has emerged over the past month, in which Reddit users have been posting images of colourful real life locations that bear a similar aesthetic to the sets on the acclaimed filmmaker’s visuals.

Anderson is known for his distinct style of locations and interiors used in his films. Through his use of dreamy pastel sets with clean-cut lines and its pleasing symmetry, the filmmaker has managed to create immersive, whimsical worlds. In the group Accidental Wes Anderson, you can find images that resemble The Grand Budapest Hotel, Anderson-esque interiors, Moonrise Kingdom, The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore prep schools.

Anderson will be releasing the stop-motion animation The Isle of Dogs next year, starring Bill Murray, Yoko Ono, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Kunichi Nomura, Mari Natsuki, Tilda Swinton, Scarlett Johansson and more.
