Come Close To Me (Live Session 1) is a reshaped live edit of a cut from Romare’s second studio LP, Love Songs: Part Two, which came out last year via Ninja Tune.
To accompany the release, Romare and Ninja have shared this gloriously nostalgic video directed by Greg Barnes who brought his signature VHS-style to Crack’s recent Mac DeMarco live session.
Of the video / session, Barnes said he and Romare “both wanted to push the limits of what a performance-based, session style video could be, and it was clear that meant smoke, lasers, and his Mazda.”
The single and video are out today (27 June) as Romare gears up to bring a new live show to KOKO in November. Watch the video below.
