Back in June, Dekmantel Records released the debut EP from Bruxas, a collaboration between psych artist Jacco Gardner and percussionist Nic Mauskovic. Inspired by the witches (‘Bruxas’ is Portuguese for ‘Witches’) and all manner of the occult, the EP is a rolling trip through heady Balearic fuzz and worldly percussive beats. It’s one of our favourites of an already impressive year from the Amsterdam label.
The video drags you through trippy tunnels of island imagery, washed out in a hazy warm glow, doubling down on the atmosphere of distant shores and strange occurrences, madness in the heat.
