Flavor Flav is suing Chuck D over unpaid royalties

TMZ are reporting that Flavor Flav is suing fellow Public Enemy founder Chuck D over unpaid royalties.

Flav is claiming that he hasn’t been paid royalties for any music, merchandise or live concerts in several years. He is also alleging that his voice was used without his consent on Nothing Is Quick In The Desert – Public Enemy’s most recent LP which was released as a free download via Bandcamp in June.

Flav requested $75,000 for the record and is claiming that he only received $7,500 in payment.

He’s also suing Public Enemy managers and producers. Bomb Squad’s Gary G-Wiz is being sued in connection with Flav’s image being used for a Public Enemy action figurine set which Flav claims he received no compensation for.
