The Berlin institution celebrates its first decade by shining a spotlight on its residents
Those who know Berlin, know Renate. What started as a scrappy, anything goes party has grown, over the course of a decade, into one of the city’s most loved and respected clubs. To mark the occasion, in-house label Renate Schallplatten is bringing together the creative potency of its residents to capture the sound and energy of the club on a double release EP.
To spread the love, they’re giving us the first listen to the first EP’s key track, from Peak & Swift, the de facto face of Renate today. The track is rough and fun, channelling a low-swung house energy and gurgling acid lines.
The EP also features music from fellow residents Sebastian Voigt, Samanta Fox & Oliver Klostermann and Johannes Albert.
