You can now apply to work on Prince’s private estate

There’s a rare job opening at Paisley Park – here’s what you need to apply

Prince’s private estate and production complex, situated in Minnesota’s Chanhassen, has announced a new job vacancy. Paisley Park are currently on the lookout for an Archives Catalogue Associate, and for Prince fans, luckily “some knowledge of Prince is helpful”. The role is full-time, and requires the associate to assist the Archives team with filing, maintaining computerised systems and research.

The job description, which has been posted on Indeed, is looking for a candidate who possesses “prior knowledge/experience with artefact handling”, the ability to deal with “repetitious intense work and procedures” and to complete extremely heavy workloads. They also require potential employees to be able to drive and – as can be expected from working on an icon’s private estate – maintain confidentiality.

Job perks include, well, working at The Purple One’s home and recording studio, and owning your own vehicle for the role.

If those job requirements don’t fit you, the estate does hold tours. In August, London’s O2 announced the upcoming exhibition My Name Is PrinceArchive items from Prince’s Paisley Park collection will be on display at the London venue for the first time since his death, including his purple coat, bejewelled cane and stage costumes.

You can apply for the job opening via Paisley Park’s website.
