FIBER and The Rest Is Noise announce line-up of audiovisual shows

FIBER will be teaming up with The Rest Is Noise to present a line-up of audiovisual shows at Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ on 5 January.

The programme is one designed to explore the intersection of technology, film and electronic sounds.

Newly announced for the line-up is electronic duo Demdike Stare, who’ll be presenting their show of found footage from museum archives. It’s set to be the debut of the show in the Netherlands. Italian ambient producer Alessandro Cortini will also be stepping up to the stage with material from his new self-titled album with Merzbow, accompanied by his visual memoir AVANTI.

Art collective Macular, made up of up-and-coming artists Joris Strijbos and Daan Johan, are set to present a version of their installation Phyllotaxis which creates audiovisual patterns with kinetic light. And furthermore, there’ll be a video installation from Canadian artist Sabrina Ratté that explores architecture, brutalist complexes in Paris and the dichotomy of utopia and dystopia.
