N.E.R.D. announce album release date, share artwork

After the release of their Rihanna-featuring track Lemon, N.E.R.D. have revealed that their new album No_One Ever Really Dies will be released on 15 December.

The group have also shared the artwork online, showing the album’s title over a model’s tongue with tin foil-covered teeth.

Recently, a visual was released for Lemon showing Rihanna shaving a dancer’s head, followed by a dance sequence.

On 4 November, they played their first show in three years at ComplexCon during which they debuted the new album. The follow-up to 2010’s Nothing is set to feature guest appearances from André 3000, Rihanna, Gucci Mane, former Crack cover star M.I.A., Future, Ed Sheeran and Wale. Kendrick Lamar will also star on two collaborations.

Speculation over the group’s return began after cryptic posters appeared around Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival in LA bearing the slogan ‘No_One Ever Really Dies’. The group’s official return was announced by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 on 1 November.
