Brownswood Recordings to celebrate new jazz album We Out Here with two-day launch

Founded by Gilles Peterson in 2006, the London-based independent label Brownswood Recordings is due to deliver a new album titled We Out Here on 9 February.

According to the press release, it’s been described as an album that showcases the “new generation of London jazz”. The tracklist features recordings from artists – such as Joe Armon-Jones, Nubya Garcia, Theon Cross, Kokoroko and Maisha – derived from three days spent at a northwest London studio.

To celebrate the album’s release, Brownswood have announced a two-day showcase at London’s Total Refreshment Centre on 25-26 January. Six of the album’s bands have been confirmed for a string of live performances across the two nights.
