US talkshow host David Letterman will make his comeback with a new Netflix show on 12 January.
Among the guests confirmed for the first season are Jay-Z, Malala Yousafzai and Tina Fey. Former POTUS Barack Obama will be the first guest of the forthcoming show – his first talkshow appearance since Trump was elected into office.
My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman will see the long-serving host make the move to the streaming platform for the first time. His return to the screen will be in the form of six one-hour episodes during which he’ll conduct a conversation with each guest and explore topics outside the studio.
It’s been three years since Letterman left The Late Show, which first debuted in 1982. The hugely successful show saw a large number of celebrities and guests sit down with Letterman, including Bill Murray and Cher.
