The Colombian-American singer has dropped the visual for her new track After the Storm, featuring Tyler, the Creator and Bootsy Collins.
Directed by photographer and filmmaker Nadia Lee Cohen, the three-minute video is a retro offering featuring Uchis in a bright, candy-coloured world. Tyler, the Creator appears as a figure enshrouded in grass beneath the ground, and Bootsy Collins makes an appearance via cartoonish animations on tinned goods and cereal boxes.
“We can find solace in the fact that we have to go through the bad stuff to truly get to the good,” Uchis said on the track. “Just because you’re losing at the moment doesn’t mean you’ve lost yet. The storm may be scary now but it’s how your flowers bloom later, and paradise is just beyond the rainbow.”
Last year, Uchis released the video Tyrant featuring Jorja Smith, which features on our list of The Top 15 Videos of 2017.
