Listen to an unreleased demo version of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance

To celebrate what would have been the David Bowie’s 71st birthday (8 January), Parlophone Records have shared previously unreleased early demo of his 1983 hit Let’s Dance.

The demo was recorded in December 1982 in Switzerland with Nile Rogers. Rogers shared a statement on the recording via Bowie’s website.

In the note, Rogers writes, “I’ve been blessed with a wonderful career but my creative partnership with David Bowie ranks very, very, very high on the list of my most important and rewarding collaborations.”

At the end of the track, Bowie’s voice can be heard laughing and exclaiming “That’s it, that’s it! Got it, got it!”.
