Nando’s opens new music studio in London

The popular chain has launched a studio in the basement of their recently renovated Soho store, on Frith Street.

Budding musicians can apply to use the recording facilities, which come equipped with Ableton Live, Pioneer CDJ-2000s, a Pioneer DJM-850 mixer, a Neumann U87 microphone, an iMac with a Waves Platinum Bundle and more. There’ll also be an in-house engineer to help the successful applicants.

Their website states: “All the best ideas start over PERi-PERi (or so we heard). That’s why we’ve brought together two of our favourite things – chicken and tunes – for our first ever restaurant recording studio.”

In 2015, the chain launched their programme Nando’s Music Exchange, which aims to spotlight artists from their hometown, South Africa, in the UK and create a global musical exchange.

You can apply to use the studio for free here.
