Daniel Avery has dropped a new animated video of crystalline shapes and abstractions for the track Projector.
Projector is a new track from Avery’s upcoming album Song for Alpha, slated for release on 6 April via Phantasy. The five-minute video is another collaboration with design studio Flat-e, following their first visual for the track Slow Fade. Released in February, Avery said on the collaboration, “The thing I admire about Flat-e is that they recognise the beauty in mystery. They create worlds into which you can fall with your eyes closed.”
Flat-e explained, “We created the video for Projector by layering animations of crystalline structures, then manipulating them digitally until they appear almost fluid.”
Song for Alpha’s release was confirmed in January, and the announcement was accompanied by a four-track EP. Recently, the producer released an EP of remixes by Actress, Inga Mauer and Surgeon.
