SZA and D’Angelo announced for Afropunk Paris

Afropunk Paris has unveiled the programme for its fourth edition, due to be staged at La Villette on 14-15 July.

Last year, SZA was arguably 2017’s breakthrough RnB star with her debut full-length Ctrl and although she left empty-handed, she led the Grammy nominations for women. Now, it’s been confirmed that Afropunk Paris will be welcoming her to the stage, along with RnB legend D’Angelo. Also newly announced are GoldLink, Wizkid, Trombone Shorty, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Gary Clarke Jr., Nigerian artist Nneka, Sandra Nkaké and others.

The festival will implement their new Buy One Give One ticketing scheme for the first time this year. For every pass purchased, the AGI (AFROPUNK Global Initiative) will give a pass to a young person working for an organisation helping to bring social change to the French capital.
