We’re excited to be hosting the first listen of new music from Mark on Ostgut Ton sub-label Unterton.
Diving headfirst into a swell of meticulously placed, moonlit electronics, Know No Out Only In is an intoxicating 6-minute composition which starts off in negative space before blooming into a frenetic, break-laden peak.
It’s the A1 of a new EP Mark’s readied for Unterton which marks the start of a slight left-turn for the imprint. Melding the choppy sensibilities of musique concrete with a dark, tough danceability befitting of Berghain’s dim corridors, Mark’s EP is entitled The Least Likely Event Will Occur In The Long Run.
Aptly paradoxical and perplexing, this cut gives you an early glimpse of the sonic and aesthetic universe he’s crafting. With two Berghain sets locked in for the summer, his left-field explorations through peaceful lulls and bone-rattling highs feel custom-built for Säule.
Listen below and check out the track-list. The physical and digital will be released 11 May 2018.
